A Romantic Fairyhill Wedding In South Wales for Charlotte & Duncan

Tucked away on the breathtaking Gower Peninsula, South Wales, the beautiful grounds of Fairyhill set the scene for Charlotte and Duncan’s effortlessly romantic and emotional wedding. As soon as Charlotte reached out, I knew their celebration was going to be filled with personality, warmth, and meaningful details that perfectly reflected them as a couple.

Nothing about this wedding was standard. Every detail felt thoughtfully chosen and authentically them. From an eclectic mix of bridesmaid dresses to relaxed vintage pastel florals, the whole aesthetic was effortlessly romantic and beautifully individual. The most exciting part of a wedding day for me is seeing the bridal dress and the wedding outfits.  While Charlotte had shared images of her dress during our consultations, I was really taken away by the sleek simplicity, elegance and definitely show-stopping design. Her gown featured a corset-style bodice with delicate iridescent and pearl jewelled shoulder detailing — a look that felt timeless yet modern. Paired with a soft lace-edged veil, the overall effect was elegant, feminine, and completely enchanting.

Charlotte chose a soft, romantic and unstructured cascading bridal bouquet. The flowers flowed naturally, creating a dreamy movement that billowed gracefully against her ivory silk skirt. Whimsical trailing clematis danced and weaved its way through scabious, astilbe, and spray roses. The look and feel were truly breathtaking

The wedding décor continued this relaxed, romantic feel. Soft pastel florals and gentle candlelight created a warm, intimate atmosphere throughout the beautiful wedding venue, Fairyhill. The styling embraced a very natural and gentle vintage-inspired palette that felt both elegant and welcoming. At the heart of the ceremony stood our classic gold moongate arch — a full-circle design that served as both a focal point for the wedding ceremony and a beautiful statement for the wedding breakfast. The moongate, symbolic of Charlotte and Duncan’s wedding rings, a complete circle, representing unity, eternity, and something deeply meaningful: a love with no beginning or end.

Charlotte and Duncan’s wedding was a wonderful reminder that the most beautiful celebrations are the ones that truly reflect the couple at the centre of it all. Relaxed, romantic, and filled with thoughtful details — their day at Fairyhill was nothing short of magical.
