Terms and Conditions

The following terms set out the conditions under which the client (“you” & “your”) agree to engage the services of Ruth MiltonJones – Wedding Florist (“us” &; “we”).

This is version 1.0 of our terms & conditions, effective from 31.1.24 until further notice. Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time.

By paying you booking fee, you are agreeing to any changes that are made. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you agree that Ruth MiltonJones is the sole supplier of fresh flowers at your event, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking. The terms and conditions below form the basis under which your order will be executed. It is important to read them.

BOOKING A DATE

All enquiries for availability will be responded to promptly by us and price proposals will be confirmed in writing via email. Your date is not secured with us until your nonrefundable deposit is paid.

DEPOSIT

A non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to secure your date. Is it applied towards the contracted flowers and is deducted from the final invoice. Payable by bank transfer or cash. A minimum order of £2000 may apply depending in the location of the venue and delivery details. It is your responsibility to check this at the time of booking. If for any reason, you need to change your date, the deposit can be transferred to another date - provided your new date is available. Once your deposit is paid, we cannot be held responsible for any changes to your date which are out of our control.

PAYMENT OF BALANCE

50% payment 3 months prior to wedding date payable by bank transfer or cash. Your balance is payable 1 month prior to your event date. This date will be made clear to you and a reminder will be sent nearer the payment time. It is your responsibility to ensure the invoice details are correct.

Your Flowers will NOT be ordered until your balance payment has been received. We hold no responsibility for the lack of availability of your chosen flower colour or style due to delayed payment on your part. Repeated chasing for payment may incur administration charges of £50 which will be payable to avoid cancellation of your florals.

DELIVERY, RESPONSIBILIY & VENUE SET UP COSTS

All deliveries will be subject to a delivery and set up cost. This will be confirmed on our quotation. We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to the hirer or any third party with regard to any equipment hired for use at the event.

It is up to the you to provide correct location for delivery on the day. The total price includes deliveries to one address within a 5-mile radius of the studio.

We endeavour to make all deliveries within sufficient time before the event, we cannot be held responsible for any unexpected events that may occur which are beyond our control. We will endeavour to make alternative arrangements should this happen. In this event, refunds will be at our discretion. We shall not take responsibility for lateness caused by an incorrect address.

HIRE CHARGES AND SUNDRIES

Refundable deposits may be required on items hired, glassware, China etc. Charges may incur for any damages or items missing. Equipment hired always remain the property of Ruth Miltonjones. We reserve the right to alter the style of all sundries, stands and glassware provided if needed.

AVAILABILITY, SUBSTITUTION AND COLOUR MATCHING

All floral products are subject to availability. We do not guarantee specific stem types. We will work with your wish lists and if available we will include your specified flowers/foliage. In the event of any supply difficulty or if the flowers are not to our high standards, we reserve the right to substitute without consultation.

We will endeavour to colour match all sundries and floral products; however, this is not 100% guaranteed. Flowers are a natural product and, in some circumstances, due to seasonal changes, the colour may vary. We can no be accountable for such events. Images, emails, and mood boards can be used as inspiration. Please note this never produces identical flowers or designs to the photos provided. Each piece is unique to you and your event.

CANCELLATION

In the unfortunate event of cancellation, the deposit cannot be refunded. Complete cancellation of the wedding must be advised in writing. 

In the unlikely event that I must cancel for unavoidable circumstances, for example in the event of fire, natural disaster, death, serious family illness or tragedy all money paid by the client will be

repaid. The company are only responsible for refunding moneys paid, and not anything to do with any other costs incurred by the inconvenience. Reasonable efforts will be made to find a replacement florist, this option is to be paid for by the client.

If we must take the decision to cancel due to slander, abusive conduct etc, all moneys paid are forfeited and there is no right to any refund.

There are no refunds for cancellations of individual items after the final balance has been paid.

Cancellations made less than 2 months before the wedding date may forfeit full payment.

Amendments can be made but if the total cost falls below the 80% of the total confirmed quote, we reserve the right to withdraw from the contract – in this case the deposit will be retained.

PHOTOGRAPHS/IMAGES/FILMS

Any images pictures or films from your event can be used on websites, social media sites or on other marketing material unless this is advised in writing.

COMPLAINTS & REFUNDS

Should the client have any issues with the quality or standard of the flowers/displays, the client must notify the florist within 1 hour of delivery.

Ruth Miltonjones reserves the right to rectify any errors on the day without prejudice. Any complaints regarding the quality, shape, size, quantity etc cannot be accepted after these time scales.

No responsibility can be taken with regards to poor condition once the flowers have been delivered and approved.

Liability shall be capped at the amount of the order and no more.
