Elopement / Micro Wedding Florist
2023 saw the beginning of a new trend, Micro Weddings, fast forward to 2024/25 and the trend is most definitely here to stay. For many the idea of a traditional wedding fills them with dread but with a more relaxed approach Micro Weddings allow couples to focus on what is important to them and not get bogged down in the dos and don’ts. Traditions can still play a big part in the wedding celebrations, speeches, cutting the cake or first dances still have their place but with a little less stress. The whole wedding journey can be a far more enjoyable experience for all and thus creating a warm, intimate atmosphere where the couple, family and friends can truly connect with one another.
While a smaller guest list can mean significant saving it also offers couples time to focus on what is important to them and create a unique day with many lasting memories with those that matter most. A micro wedding can open a whole host of different and exciting options. The venue could be a boutique hotel, a family friendly festival vibe retreat, or as Ben and Jeris decided a rustic log cabin nestled in the woods of a renowned Gower hotel, Parc Le Breos. The veranda was adorned with an array of lush florals and foliage creating a whimsical and decedent ambiance. A handfasting ceremony was held in front of a large stone fireplace decorate with cascading garlands and wildflowers. Surrounded by nature they made their own handwritten vows to one another framed beneath a beautiful floral arch entwined with spring blossom and scented blooms. Keen to experience all possibilities on their big day Ben and Jeris decided on a secluded canoe paddle around the lake, at Parc Le Broes. It gave them the time and space to completely immerse themselves in the love and commitment they had made to one another. Even a drop of Welsh rain could not deter them, the delight on their faces is there for all to see. Fast forward to evening celebrations where vintage chandeliers hang from the ceiling and an abundance of candlelight created a romantic and enchanting atmosphere.
For Ben and Jeris a more flexible budget certainly meant far more time being spent on the details of the day. It gave them the opportunity not to compromise on quality, but to exceed everyone’s expectations. Guests were truly indulged, gourmet catering, tailor made menus, an open bar with vintage wines, live music, and entertainment were all there throughout the whole day. It also meant Jeris could indulge herself to her favourite dress designer and booked an amazing photographer she had been following on Instagram and provide accommodation for all your guests. Their décor and florals did not have to be limited to one or two arrangements but included their favourite and symbolic sweet-smelling florals. Statement arches, floral installations, extravagant tablescapes where completely their choices without worrying about the budget.
The essence of any wedding is the celebration of love and commitment between two people and Ben and Jeris truly captured this. No comprises were made, in fact the intimacy and personalization of their special day was a joy for all to see. The financial flexibility meant they were able to focus on what mattered to them the most without breaking the bank. A Micro Wedding stripped away the excess and enabled them to create a far more meaningful experience with their loved ones.
Are Micro Weddings here to stay? Well, if Ben and Jeris’s celebration is anything to go by then most definitely yes. For them it was an authentic and sincere way to mark their commitment. Bring on the new era of Micro Wedding celebration.
